Moxie is a Lightning Cat from the sky realm of Nestra and a participant in the Trials of Strife.


Moxie was born with the sacred lightning emblem on his chest, the prophetic symbol of the long-awaited savior of Nestra. Therefore, his people named him "The Mach Z." according to legend. But, Moxie shunned his savior heritage in preference of a quiet, restful life. To ultimately escape from his people, and their overbearing expectations of heroics and feats of greatness, Moxie entered the Trials of Strife. There, snuggled up with his lightning yarn ball, he hoped to find refuge from his prophetic heritage (and hopefully get in a nap or two).[1]


Moxie specializes in long range damage and kiting.[1] He is able to deal sustained damage with his short-cooldown abilities, and is generally best with a lot of mana and Power.

When Playing AsEdit

Moxie is generally best played as a magic damage character and can be seen as a lane bully due to his constant damage and great sustain with his yarn. When playing as him, generally try to play a poke happy game and hit as many units as possible with Ball Lightning. Save his Catastrophe when escaping or chasing as its slow helps with both. Its burst can also change a team battle in favor of your team. Don't forget about the speed boost from his Astral Winds when escaping or chasing. It is alright to use Ball Lightning just for the speed boost.

When Playing AgainstEdit

When playing against him, be sure to be prepared for constant harassment in-lane. It's generally the best to send an ally with a pet that is good against harass against him. Ask allies for ganks early as he will generally win most early duels due to Z Zap.
